VIDEO PROJECT

CATEGORY:

ATTENTION SALT LAKE CITY!

A very talented director is creating a few short video projects to showcase the I AM EQUAL project and I’d like you to be involved; it’s a powerful way to share the passion and purpose behind your photo.

Ultimately, his team will select 5-10 people to tell their story on camera and be part of this project, but the first step is sharing your story, cause, purpose, and passion with the film maker. There are so many reasons people take part in the I AM EQUAL project and he is looking to create a short documentary that highlights just a few of those reasons.

If you would like to tell your story and have your cause presented in this video, please submit a few paragraphs with the following information:

  • WHAT IS YOUR CAUSE?
Take a moment to talk about your cause. Explain the scope of the issue and talk about the issue and give details and data that illustrate why it’s important for people to know about this situation.
  • WHY ARE YOU INVOLVED?
Share your personal attachment to the cause. Why did you get involved and how does this personally effect you, your family, your friends, or your future.
  • EXPRESS A SENSE OF URGENCY.
Share with the film-maker why this is an urgent matter to you. How does it effect the world on a daily basis and what would be different if this issue was addressed fully.

If selected, you will be interviewed on camera about this issue and your personal reasons for being involved, so be ready to share your passion for this cause.

This is such an exciting opportunity to show the broad reaching scope of the I AM EQUAL project and the many lives that are effected by issues of human rights and equality around the world.

We’re filming this project VERY soon so get your submission to us ASAP (by July 2nd). You can email it to us directly at info@iamequalproject.org with VIDEO PROJECT in the subject and we will get it to the film maker the same day.

Thanks a million,
Jason Beckett

I live with my parents and I’m 29 years old. Salt lake city is my hometown and I have three pugs.

I have downs syndrome. Sometimes people been teasing me cause I look different. I went to many schools. I was vulnerable and it would make people want to tease me when I was in school. One time a boy spitted on me on my glasses. Another time a girl pinched me hard on the shoulder and it hurt. And other students would call me slow. And when people do these things it kind of makes me a little sad and hurt.

I love my family and they are precious to me. I like to go to the movies with my brothers and listen to my favorite singer Taylor Hicks. I’m happy...  » READ MORE «
